September 15 Our Lady of Sorrows
It seems like it was such a joyful occasion last week for Mary’s birthday, and now we have to be sad?I usually don’t like to dwell on the sorrowful, but just as Mary was a real person who had a real birthday, she also was a real woman who underwent some serious suffering.To understand Christ’s deep love and his suffering for us, it is helpful to look at it through the eyes of His Mother.This is why the church holds this feast day and supports devotions to the sorrows or dolors of Mary.There are seven sorrows that the church recognizes.Can you and your family name them all?
